![]() Once there was a peacock. His name was Fread. He did not know how to spread his feathers. He always got laughed at whenever he went in public.
One day when Fread was walking through the forest, he heard a sound coming from behind a bush. He decided to take a look. Behind the bush was a crowd of peacocks.
"Hi, everyone," he said nervously.
Then everyone started laughing at Fread until he cried. He ran into a hole in the wall, leaving a puddle of tears lying there behind him. He cried so much that the hole in the wall overflowed with tears. When Fread felt it was finally safe to come out, standing right in front of him was a peahen.
"Hi, my name is Jo" she said.
Fread stepped back. "Hey, if you are going to laugh at me, it's okay, I'm used to it," said Fread.
"I'm not going to laugh at you. I want to help," said Jo.
"You really are going to help me? You don't even know me, so why would you want to help me?" said Fread.
"Well, I heard about your problem and I just wanted to help. So let's get started on helping you spread your feathers," said Jo. "Okay now, just concentrate. Only think about doing it. Do not think of anything except doing it and seeing the colors on your feathers. Come on, you can do it. Close your eyes and concentrate. I know you can do it," said Jo.
Fread was concentrating so much his face was a hot, fiery red color and he was sweating. Then he felt different, his back felt shaded. Before there was breeze and now there was not. He opened his eyes and turned to look at Jo.
"WOW!!" said Jo.
"What? Did I do something wrong?" said Fread.
"No YOU SPREAD YOUR FEATHERS!" said Jo.
"Really? I did it?" said Fread.
"Yes, you really did it," said Jo.
"Wow! I have to go show the others. Oh, and thank you so much," said Fread.
"You're welcome," said Jo.
The end.
