I especially like the part in my story where everything changes color.
--Robert M. F., age 7
Out of Order I like mermaids. I have a mermaid candle holder, a statue and a picture hanging on my wall. I've learned a lot about mermaids, because I like to read about them. They live all around the world...deep in water, all year round.
I was looking at this book at school and it gave me ideas for the story like the green hair. I like the drawing part of my story a lot...my grandma set up an art studio in her basement for me and that's where I did the pictures.
I've been thinking about being a dolphin trainer or a marine biologist. I like underwater so much.
--Eleanor L., age 6
Mermaid Magic I just thought of Chinese stuff, and just thought that there could be something American in there.
I just felt great that I could do a story.
--Olivianna C., age 6
Floating Shoes My teacher wanted me to write a story. In two days I had it done. Cuddles is a stuffed animal I have that likes to bake a lot - especially pancakes. He sits at home in a basket.
The favorite part of my story is when Cuddles celebrates his Mom's birthday...
He made his mom happy. I've made other stories, too. I made a story for my grandmother's birthday.
--Alex J., age 7
