I think it would be absolutely magnificent to trace my heritage to share with my son and my anticipated future grandchildren. Notwithstanding, my octogenarian parents and more than 300 relatives who gather annually for family reunions.
I've always been curious about my heritage since early elementary. But, the flame was lit when a college friend's grandad said, "Boy you got yourself a real Seminole there." I could hardly wait to get home to explore what he'd said. I grabbed a World Book Encyclopedia and was stunned by what I saw. My oldest sister looked like one of the Seminole females and my Aunt Bee dressed like them!
Since then, I've become the family historian and collector of family tree information. Although a Five Generation chart is practically completed, there still are many important questions. Such as, are there Seminole bloodlines...and the most pertinent question: Where did my ancestors originate from before reaching the shores of America?
