Detroit Pro-Am Bowling Tournament

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit will present the Goodwill Detroit Pro-Am bowling tournament Saturday, Aug. 9 at Taylor Lanes. Bowling will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bowlers of all ages are welcome to participate. Cash prizes will be available for adult participants, while youth bowlers will compete for at least $500 in college scholarships. Amateur participants will bowl three games, each with a different PBA Tour Central Region professional. West Bosnian Festival

This year, organized by the Union of Citizens Bosanska Krajina, the festival will feature a soccer tournament, musical performances, folklore performances by Bosnian dance groups from all over the united States, ethnic dance music, presentation of traditional foods and age appropriate activities for children. Along with many returning participants the forklore dancing group Sevdah from San Francisco will perform. Saturday, noon to 11 p.m. Free admission; parking $6.
