JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides administrative management support for the Vice President of Production and Station Enterprises. Primary responsibility is to assist the Vice President of Production and Station Enterprises in the coordination and implementation of day to day department operational activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
  • Coordinating operational activities with department staff (especially Vice President of National Pledge, Producers, and the Director of Program Development), other DPTV departments (especially Administration, Finance, and HR), freelance staff, and non-WTVS personnel associated with the development and completion of regularly-scheduled, occasional, and special programs and projects, as well as client services
  • Coordinate orders for pledge items
  • Generate weekly and monthly sound scan and sales reports
  • Coordinate the closed captioning schedule
  • Maintaining current knowledge of all productions, projects, and client activities and their stages of development
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five(5) years experience office management or administrative experience (TV production environment preferred), with demonstrated leadership and team building ability
  • Excellent organizational, judgmental, and customer relations skills
  • Thorough knowledge of office management systems, human resources, and general accounting procedures, including budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to understand and work with group dynamics and deal with people in a professional and positive manner
  • Excellent office skills, including PC proficiency and experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database software, electronic mail, and Internet access
  • Ability to work irregular and/or extended hours
